Prawn cocktail

The prawn cocktail is a classic appetizer of Italian cuisine, served in salad bowls. Simple to prepare but of great effect, it is an appetizer to bring to the table for the Christmas holidays. It is also a very greedy appetizer and will please all your guests.

17 ounces prawns
5.29 ounces mayonnaise
1.7 ounces ketchup
2 tablespoons brandy
1/2 teaspoon mustard
0.1 ounces whipping cream
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
4 leaves radish (or lettuce)

Shell and wash the prawns eliminating the black wire. Blanch them in salted boiling water for a few minutes. Drain them and immediately pass them under cold water to stop cooking. Keep aside. Prepare the pink sauce by mixing all the ingredients on the list well. Add the prawns to the pink sauce and mix gently. Arrange the radicchio or lettuce leaves in bowls. Fill each cup with the shrimp cocktail. Garnish with a lemon wedge and serve. It can be kept in the fridge until the moment of consumption.

They can be prepared in advance, up to a day before, without putting them in the salad and stored in the refrigerator.

Shrimp can be replaced with shrimp.

Any type of large leaf salad can be used.
