Ingredients for 6 Puff pastry and Nutella Cannoli
Tools
Preparation of Puff pastry and Nutella Cannoli
Turn on the conventional oven at 200°C (400°F). If you have a ventilated oven, lower the temperature to 350°F (180°C). Line the drip pan with a sheet of baking paper.
Unroll the puff pastry and, using a small indented wheel, cut it into 6 rectangles. If you prefer, you can make more cannoli by cutting smaller rectangles from the pastry.
How to cut the puff pastry
Unroll the puff pastry and, using a small indented wheel, cut it into 6 rectangles. If you prefer, you can make more cannoli by cutting smaller rectangles from the pastry.
On each rectangle of pastry, from the longest side, make parallel cuts (photo 1), reaching almost to the middle of the rectangle.
Spread about a tablespoon of Nutella as in photo 2, leaving the edges clean.
Brush the entire pastry with milk.
Roll the dough over the nutella (photo 3-4) and seal the edges by squeezing with your fingers. This will ensure that the nutella doesn’t come out of the cannoli during baking.
Lift the strips of dough as in photos 5 and 6.
Brush the entire surface of the cannoli again with milk. Roll them on the sugar that you have distributed on the baking paper (photo 7).
How to bake cannoli
Move the cannoli to the drip pan covered with baking paper.
Bake the cannoli for about 15-20 minutes. But check the baking, the Cannoli will be ready when the pastry has risen and turned golden brown.
