Air Fryer Parmesan Zucchini Chips are tasty crunchy finger food appetizers. They are to be eaten strictly with the hands, as if they were French fries.
Very easy and fast to prepare, Parmesan zucchini chips are cooked in the air fryer. It will only take 6-7 minutes to cook them perfectly, golden and crispy, with very little oil. So, these Parmesan Zucchini Chips are also light, but equally tasty and delicious.
But fear not, if you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake the Zucchini Chips in a traditional oven. Description below.

Preparation of Air Fryer Parmesan Zucchini Chips
First, let’s start by slicing the fresh zucchini
Wash and core the zucchini, then thinly slice it to a thickness of about 4-5 mm.
It is important that the zucchini slices have the same thickness, so as to have an even cooking.
Second, prepare the dressing
In a bowl mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, finely chopped parsley and basil, garlic powder and oil.
Season with salt and pepper if necessary.
Pour the zucchini into the bowl, stirring gently until well coated with the dressing.
Finally, cooking in an air fryer
Arrange the zucchini slices, in a single layer, on a sheet of baking paper.
Add the remaining dressing in the bowl over the zucchini slices.
Drizzle the slices with a little oil.
The zucchini is ready when the parmesan cheese has browned and the edges of the zucchini are crispy.
Cooking with traditional or ventilated oven
Bake the zucchini chips at 200°C, in a preheated static oven, for about 15-20 minutes. But always check the cooking because not all ovens cook in the same way.
If you have a ventilated oven, lower the temperature to 180°C and bake for less time, about 12-15 minutes.
I recommend consuming the zucchini chips right away to enjoy the crispiness to the fullest.
Store them at room temperature for up to 1 day.
In the refrigerator, the parmesan topping will tend to soften and lose its crunch.
So, if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
At the time of serving, you can heat the zucchini in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore the initial crispness.
