Apulian taralli with sugar for breakfast

Today I want to advice you this Apulian taralli with sugar on it, perfect for breakfast and for every time of the year. I assure to you that as biscuits that you can eat with milk, are totally infallible. Those are so easy to make, it remind me my childhood and the time when I used to cook this with my grandma and I will be always grateful for that memory. So so good to eat with milk or with tea and I assure to you that the result won’t be different.

Ingredients

4 cups flour
1 cup butter
13 tablespoons sugar
1 lemon (grated peel)
1 orange (grated peel)
1 eggs
2 yolks
1/2 sachet baking powder
q.s. sugar

Steps

In a planetary put the sugar and the butter (1). Work all until it will be cream and add the egg (2) and the flour with the baking powder and the grated peel of orange and lemon (3).

Work the dough until until it clings to the leaf (4).

Continue to work the dough then wrap in foil a let it rest for one hour.(5)

After the rest, take some pieces of the dough, you can choose the size that you prefer, and create sticks that don’t have to be too big or too thin (6)

Close the ends and create the tarallo (7) and then pass them on the sugar (8) and then put them in a mold covered with baking paper (9).

Cook it all in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

Let it cool and serve it your Easter Apulian Taralli with sugar.
