Roasted carrots with garlic and thyme

ROASTED CARROTS WITH GARLIC AND THYME.. these carrots are perfect and go great with any type of meat or fish, so a versatile and tasty side dish.
We often eat them boiled seasoned with oil, salt and lemon, but roasted in the oven they are definitely incredible.
The high heat of the oven caramelizes and browns them making them sweet and tender. With just a few healthy ingredients you’ll get one of the most delicious and inexpensive side dishes.

10 carrots (carrot)
3 spoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 sprigs thyme
2 pinches garlic powder
2 pinches salad
2 pinches pepper
1 pinch sugar

Roasted carrots with garlic and thyme


1-Preheat the oven and in the meantime clean the carrots, divide them in half and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

2-Sprinkle with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and thyme, mix so that the ingredients wrap the carrots well.
Bake carrots for about 25 minutes until tender.

When you find large carrots, therefore with a rougher and more fibrous end, use a simple potato peeler to clean them.

On the contrary, if they are very tender you can keep the peel, in cooking they will have a more rustic effect.

If you want to skip these two cleaning processes you can buy already peeled carrots for sale in supermarkets (baby carrots).
