How to prepare hand made EASY PANETTONE

How to make easy Panettone by hand? Don’t worry, it will be very easy and the dough is without a mixer and it will not be tiring.

If you don’t believe it, follow my recipe recommendations.

I am honest I have tried many times to make panettone and the result was never good enough.

So much effort was not rewarded by the taste.

In the end I found the right recipe to prepare a beautiful but also good homemade panettone.

A fragrant panettone, very easy and with a truly incredible flavor.

I stuffed it with raisins and candied orange peel but you can use chocolate chips, pecans, or other dried fruit.

  • 4 cupsbread flour (Manitoba 500 g)
  • 3 teaspoonsactive dry yeast (8 g)
  • 3.5 ouncessugar (100 g)
  • 3/4 cupmilk (200 ml)
  • 3 ouncesbutter (soft 80 g)
  • 2egg (medium)
  • 3.5 ouncesraisin
  • 2 ouncesorange zest (orange zest 50 g)



  1. Cut the butter into small pieces and put it in a large bowl.

    Add sugar and with a wooden spoon mix until creamy, then add eggs and mix with a spoon.

  2. Slightly heat milk, add brewer’s yeast and let it melt.

    Mix well and pour the milk and yeast into the bowl of the other ingredients.


  1. Add orange zest and mix the dough again. Then add the flour and mix well by hand. Finally put raisins and candied orange peel cut into cubes

  2. Cover with cling film and leave to rise for at least 4 hours.


  1. When it has risen, place on a lightly floured work surface and work for a few seconds.

    Shape into a ball and put in the mold.

    Let rise for another 2 hours.


  1. Turn on the oven in static mode at 170 °.

    Cook for about 45 minutes, at 338° F in oven – static mode. Check the surface does not burn (do not open the oven door).

    If it darkens quickly, cover with aluminum foil.

    When it is cooked so as not to deflate the panettone, stick it with a stick or a bbq iron and let it cool upside down.


To make it more greedy you can stuff with nutella.

You can replace candied fruit and raisins with chocolate chips.

The surface before cooking can be enriched with almonds

Rising times may vary due to the temperature of the kitchen.
