Salmon Tartare

Salmon Tartare is a delicious, easy and very quick appetizer, presented in a finger food version and served with sandwich bread baskets (here the recipe). Make it for a buffet or a cocktail party, everyone will love it.

The Salmon Tartare is a fresh and tasty appetizer, prepared with cubes of fresh raw salmon steaks, seasoned with an emulsion of extra virgin olive oil and lemon. If you prefer, you can use fresh tuna instead. Simply delicious!

Ingredients

For 6 baskets

2 slices sandwich long bread
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3.50 ounces salmon fillet (100 g – cut into cubes)
1/2 lemon (the juice)
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (25 ml)
salt
pepper
thyme

Steps

Salmon Tartare is very easy to make.

First prepare the baskets with sandwich bread.

Cut out the shells with a pastry cutter (a glass) or a cookie cutter of the shape you prefer. Roll them out with a rolling pin, place inside the muffin cups, brush with melted butter and bake. Follow my full recipe here

In the meantime, take the salmon and dry it with kitchen paper. Cut into slice, then into strips and finally into small dice of about ½ centimeter.

Salmon Tartare

Put diced salmon in a bowl and season with extra-virgin olive oil and the juice of ½ lemon (or 1 whole if small). Season with salt and pepper. Mix well and let it rest for about 10 minutes in the refrigerator.

At this point, you can serve your Salmon Tartare, directly on a serving dish or in the bread baskets.
