Homemade Pomegranate Juice

Homemade Pomegranate juice is a very healthy drink with a slightly acidic flavour, made from the grains of the pomegranate.

My grandmother used to say that the best way to good health is to consume plenty of seasonal fruit and vegetables.

My winter days would start with a glass of my mother’s best homemade pomegranate juice. My mother carefully stored the unused arils and used them to garnish freshly cooked dishes.

There are so many properties of the pomegranate, and since this is its time of year we need to make use of it in our recipes, what better than a fresh drink, a super quick recipe to consume this fruit.

Steps Homemade Pomegranate Juice

Let’s find out how to make it at home and without the use of tools: all you need is a simple juicer.

To make pomegranate juice, simply cut the two pomegranates in half and squeeze out their juice with the help of a juicer,

Also squeeze half a lemon.

Put some brown sugar on a saucer, take the glasses that you will use to serve the juice, lightly wet the top and turn in the sugar so that it sticks well to the glass.

Pour the juice ( pomegranate + lemon ) into the glass. ( If you prefer you can also strain it and add caster sugar if you like )

Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Keep in the fridge for no more than 1 day.
