COOKIES HAZELNUTS AND CARAMEL

Crunchy and delicious treats to enjoy any time of the day. The Halloween holiday is approaching and like every year, I always make yummy treats like these hazelnut and caramel cookies that everyone loves. You absolutely have to try them I’m sure they will win you over at the first bite. Let’s see what we need to prepare the Hazelnut Caramel Cookies.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup 1/2 cup 00 flour
1 cup 1/2 cup starch or frumina
1/2 cup sugar
1 stick of butter
1 egg
dark chocolate
roasted peanuts

INGREDIENTS FOR CARAMEL

1/2 cup +1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup of cream

dark chocolate

PROCEDURE:

Mix all the powders with the soft butter at room temperature the mixture should be grainy. Add the egg, knead and form a dough and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the caramel sauce
putting on the fire a saucepan with the sugar and two tablespoons of water. Cook over high heat stirring continuously with a wooden spoon. As soon as the sugar begins to crystallize, turn off the heat and add the cream, which you have previously heated in a small saucepan. Stir with a wooden spoon and let the caramel sauce cool down.

Roll out the dough and cut out many circles, you can use a round cookie cutter. Bake at 180 degrees for about 10/15 minutes. Once cold spread over each cookie the caramel and add the chopped hazelnuts. Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave. Place all the cookies on a grating and cover them with dark chocolate, add some nuts and decorate with caramel sauce. The cookies are ready to be enjoyed.
