There is no reassuring dessert like a good slice of soft, slightly moist and fragrant apple pie.
 
There are a thousand versions and as many recipes because it is a great classic everywhere.
 
My favorite recipe, however, remains the one handed down to me by my grandmother. it is very simple and the result is a soft, moist and delicate dessert.
 
Its peculiarity is the quantity of apples. In fact, the cake is made for 2/3 of apples and 1/3 of dough. This gives it a very moist and creamy interior.
 
However, since I always have little time, I prepared it in the slow cooker.
 
Excellent result but above all it cooks itself.
 
It was enough to put all the ingredients inside and turn on.
 
Then I went for an hour of pilates, I had to earn a slice !!!!

  • 8 gbaking powder for sweets
  • 1 glassmilk

Preparation

STEP 1

  1. First, prepare the sugar and cinnamon mix.

    Put both in a bowl and mix with a spoon.

    Then peel the apples and cut them into 2 cm squares.

  2. Transfer them all to a bowl and sprinkle them with the sugar and cinnamon mix.

    Cover them and keep them aside.

STEP 2

  1. Now let’s prepare the dough.

    Pour flour, sugar (100gr.), An egg, milk and yeast into the glass of the mixer.

    Beat the mixture with an electric mixer until it reaches a creamy mixture.

STEP 3

  1. Now butter the slow cooker inner pot.

    Then arrange the apples with the sugar and cinnamon mix inside.

    Pour the dough over it, trying to distribute it evenly.

    It may seem like a little but in reality, cooking it will cover the fruit.

STEP 4

  1. In a saucepan, melt 50 g of butter and 50 g of sugar without caramelizing it.

    Then pour it evenly over the apples and the dough.

    Close the slow cooker and turn it on to HIGH mode for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

  2. After this time you will see that a lot of liquid has formed on the bottom.

    To dry it, cook for 5 more minutes WITHOUT the lid.

    Your grandma’s apple pie in the crock pot is ready!
