Santo Libre

Santo Libre is a cocktail belonging to the category of long drinks made of rum and Seltz or soda water.

It was born from the modification of the most famous cuba libre in which cola is used.

It owes its name to the island of Santo Domingo where it was invented and where, of course, it is very famous.

The need of calling the cocktail in a different way is because of the clear indication of origin of Cuba libre and therefore it was necessary to underline the different place of origin.

It is less known than its “older brother” but it is slowly spreading thanks to all the people who, by visiting the Dominican Republic, discover and appreciate it.
