2.5 ounces pIstachios

Steps

If you are looking for ideas on how to recycle leftover trail mix, this recipe can do it for you. In fact you can prepare this goodness only with a single variety, the important thing is to use only nuts.

In a large pan put all the ingredients, put over moderate heat and wait for the water to boil.
Stir often.

Continuing the cooking you will notice that the sugar will start to cook making a lot of foam, slowly the water will evaporate and let the sugar wrap around the nuts.
At this point always mix with the wooden spoon, but with extreme delicacy.

When everything is covered with sugar, turn off and let it cool.
Do not go too far in the cooking, because at a certain point the sugar will melt, becoming caramel.
If you notice that sugar does not tend to stick to the nuts, add a little more water and stir again until they are well covered in it.
Turn off, let it cool and they’re ready.
Store the dried fruit sandblasted inside a jar or a hermetic container and consume within a couple of months.
