A Pò(t) of Italy

A pò(t) of Italy, why this name?

Are you curious to discover the meaning of the Blog’s name?

It was suggested by a friend of mine, Donatella, and I immediatly fell in love with it as it comes from a word game that I find very funny.

Anyway the meaning is difficult to understand for both, Italians and Foreigners, but I will try to explain it to you!

In italian “pò” means a little bit, in english “pot” means pan or bowl, so you can read the name in both meanings: “A little bit of Italy” or “A pot of Italy”, joined in one single name.

But beyond the name, the heart of this blog are the contents. I would like to introduce you to the real Italian cuisine, the dishes that we really cook and eat at home in Italy instead of the one for tourists.

For example, do you know Spaghetti with Meatballs? Ok, forget it! This is one of the most famous Italian dishes for tourists known abroad, but in Italy it is completly different.

The work in progress is for the logo, I am preparing a new one and it isn’ready at the moment, so stay tuned!
