1/4 cup butter (gr. 50)
7/8 cup milk (ml. 200)
1/2 cup cheddar cheese (gr. 100)

1/2 cup croutons (gr. 60 circa)
q.s. breadcrumbs

Tools

Steps

Wash and cut the potatoes into two or four parts (it depends on the size) and boil them in a large stockpot until tender.

Drain and pan-dry the potatoes, to remove any excess moisture. Peel the potatoes and using a potato masher mash them and put the mashed potatoes in a large bowl. Add warm milk a little at a time, the butter and fine salt, melt the ingredients. Now add the ceddar cut into small cubes and stir until well combined.

Now take the olive croutons. Put them in an envelope, close it and with a rolling pin reduce them into small pieces.

Spread the mashed potatoes out in an even layer in a 9 inch baking dish, previously buttered and covered with breadcrumb. Top it with the crumbled croutons and the tilsit cut into small pieces.

Bake for about 25 minutes in oven pre-heated at 356°F (180°C).
