a very simple to make and very tasty dessert. On the occasion of the beloved Thanksgiving holiday, many typical dishes of this tradition are prepared such as the famous turkey or pumpkin pie and among these there is also the famous pecan pie. I wanted to pay homage to this holiday by preparing a variation of the famous pecan pie, pumpkin pie with apples and pecans. FOR THE SHORTBREAD
  • 100 gflour
  • 110 gintegral flour
  • 6 tablespoonscold water
  • 100 gcold butter
  • (brown sugar for dusting)
  • 1apple
  • pecans
  • 100 gpumpkin
  • 1lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoonssugar
  • 200 mlwater
  • 1 tablespoonpotato starch

Preparation of pecan pie with apples and pumpkin

To make this delicious pecan pie, first make the cream. Cut the pumpkin into small pieces and cook it in a small pan with the lemon juice and a coffee cup of water. Once cooked, blend it and let it cool. In a small saucepan, mix the starch with the water, add the blended pumpkin and let it thicken on the fire.
Now prepare the dough.
Knead the butter with the flour by hand, add the water and form a dough.

Roll out the dough on a sheet of baking paper and place it in a tart pan, add the pumpkin cream leaving the edges free and then add the chopped apple. Now fold in the edges of the dough and finally add the pecans.
Bake, at 180 degrees, for about 25 minutes.
