Ingredients for Easy Homemade Sandwich Bread
- 3 cupsall purpose (AP) flour (14 oz (400 g) or whole wheat)
- 1/3 cupwater (80 ml)
- 1/2 cupmilk (132 g)
- 1/4 cupolive oil (50 ml)
- 1 teaspoonsalt (7 g)
- 1 teaspoonyeast (4 g)
- 1 tablespoonmalt

Directions
In the bowl of a mixer, using a dough hook, mix lukewarm water, milk, yeast, oil, malt and 3/4 flour.
Then, add salt and remaining flour a little at a time. Continue kneading on low speed until a soft ball of dough forms and clears the sides of the bowl.
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it properly and let it sit for 2 hours, until doubled in size.
Here’s what it looks like after leavening
Turn the dough out onto a clean, lightly floured surface. Flatten the dough with your hands (or using a rolling pin) and fold it into 3 parts.
Roll up the rectangle and place into a greased loaf pan.
Let it rise for 1 hour.
Pre-heat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Brush the loaf with some milk and then bake in pre-heated oven for 30 minutes, until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.

Tips and Tricks
