Ingredients

Makes 12 chocolates

3 ounces milk chocolate (80g)
3 ounces Nutella® (or other hazelnut cream 80g)
3 ounces chopped hazelnuts (80g)
2/3 tablespoon unsalted butter (0,35oz 10g)
12 hazelnuts
0.22 ounces dark chocolate (or white chocolate 100g)

1 Spatula
1 Greaseproof Paper
1 Baking Tray
2 Teaspoons
1 Grid

Steps

Chocolate and Hazelnut Kisses recipe is really easy to make.

First, break up milk chocolate and melt it in a double boiler or in the microwave if you prefer.

Add the Nutella (or the hazelnut cream of your choice), melted butter and chopped hazelnuts. Mix well with the help of a spatula in order to well incorporate all the ingredients.

Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or until the mixture becomes easily workable and not too sticky.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. With the help of a teaspoon, take some tufts from the mixture: they must be more or less as big as a walnut.

Roll them up with your hands and place them on the parchment paper. You will “get your hands dirty”, but it’s worth it;). At most, use disposable gloves for food.

Put the baking sheet in the fridge for 15 minutes, then place a whole hazelnut on top of each ball, making a light pressure. Return the balls to the refrigerator for other 15 minutes.

Finish

Meanwhile, break up the dark chocolate and melt it in a double boiler or in the microwave if you prefer (1). Dip one ball at a time in the melted chocolate (2). Cover it completely with the chocolate, helping yourself with 2 teaspoons (3 – 4).

Place them gradually on a wire rack and let them solidify. It will take about 30 minutes.
