Drying figs

To make these drying figs I suggest using the dehydrator, they are a real delight to prepare at this time of year. Thanks to the dryer we can preserve these goodies that the season gives us and in much shorter times than drying in the sun. Dried figs can be enjoyed as is or to make desserts such as fillings in tarts or biscuits, filled with dried fruit and then glazed with dark chocolate. Dried figs in the dehydrator are also an excellent idea to give as gifts at Christmas, packaged in little bags. They are a healthy and natural snack without added sugars and other ingredients like those you buy in the store.
