Creamy mashed potatoes

These best creamy mashed potatoes are a favorite recipe of my family. Simple mashed potatoes cooked to perfection with butter and milk! A recipe that reminds me of childhood, with its smells and flavors. The potatoes are perfectly boiled, mashed and then cooked in milk, finally it is whipped with butter and Parmesan. What’s better?!

Ingredients

1.5 pounds potatoes
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2.6 ounces milk
salt
pepper
nutmeg
3.5 ounces parmesan cheese

2 Pots
1 Peeler
1 Potato Masher

Steps

Wash and peel the potatoes, cutting them into pieces about 1-2 inches.
Place the potatoes in a large pot and fill with water to cover the potatoes. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. When the potatoes are ready, drain and mash them directly in the pot. Add the hot milk with the nutmeg, salt and pepper. Cook again, stirring constantly until the mixture is creamy and smooth, and everything is incorporated, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and add the Parmesan and butter, mix and serve immediately.

Cook’s Tips

To prepare this dish in advance, simply boli the potatoes, mash them as an indicator in the recipe and pour them into the greased pan. Cover and maximum refrigerate the dish for a 24 hours.
