Watermelon in season is juicy and of excellent quality, you cannot afford to miss out on it.
It is one of the easiest desserts to prepare: just cut, blend, add lemon juice and sugar, stir freeze and enjoy!
Fully ripe and seedless watermelon is the best choice. If there are seeds in the watermelon, you can try removing them.
If you have some frozen watermelon in the freezer, you can use it.
If watermelon has enough sweetness skip sugar. Sugar can be substituted with honey or maple syrup.

Steps Watermelon Granita
Remove the outer green rind. Remove seeds from inside the watermelon.
Cut watermelon into smaller square cubes. If you have frozen watermelon feel free to use it.
You can use watermelon cubes as it is or freeze them and use them as frozen watermelon granita. Add watermelon cubes into a food processor or blender.
Pulse it a couple of times to make it into juice.
Add sugar to add sweetness. If the watermelon is sweet enough, do not add sugar.
Pour in freshly squeezed lemon juice. Blend.
Pour the juice into a glass container and place in the freezer.
Once set a bit, remove it from the freezer and scrape it well. Place it back in the freezer to set it again. Repeat this a couple of times to make the consistency better.
Once it fully sets scrape it and break it down well. Scoop it and serve it immediately garnished with mint leaves.
