Homemade Corn Dogs. I love corn dogs and wanted to make them at home. Did you know that corn dogs are actually pretty easy to make at home? Well, they are! so I created this easy batter for the frankfurters. Great when served with mayonnaise, ketchup or mustard.

A corn dog is usually a skewered hot dog, coated in cornmeal batter and fried. A staple of American cuisine.
Serve your corn dogs with your favorite sauce and a classic side dish great for the perfect picnic or superbowl.

1 cup yellow corn flour
1 cup all purpose (AP) flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup milk
1 egg
8 cups vegetable oil
16 oz wurstel

Steps Homemade Corn Dogs

Mix cornmeal, with all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl; add milk and egg, mix until a batter forms.

Meanwhile, dry the frankfurters this helps the batter stick better.

Cutting them in half and threading a skewer through each one.

Roll the frankfurters in the batter until well coated.

Wrap them in foil and let stand for 1 hour in the freezer.

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 170 °C (338 °F).

Fry 1 corn dog at a time by rolling them in preheated oil until lightly browned, about 3 minutes.
