Ingredients Green Beans with Bacon

11/2 pound beans (650 g)
6 slices bacon (150 g)
1 cup chicken broth (300 ml)
1/4 teaspoon chilli
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
teaspoons thyme
1/2 teaspoon basil
3 tablespoons olive oil
parsley

Steps Green Beans with Bacon

Rinse beans with fresh water, place a handful at a time on a cutting board.
Use a sharp knife to cut off the tip for each side.
Cut the bacon into small pieces.

In a large pot, add the olive oil and fry the bacon with the spices, salt and pepper until crispy.
Add the green beans into the bacon and cook until lightly browned, now add the chicken broth cook until dry.
Serve the green beans hot at the table as soon as they are ready.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep for up to 4 days.
Reheat in the microwave or on the stove.
Cooked green beans can be frozen for up to 10 months in a plastic bag.
