Christmas Tree Cupcakes. These cupcakes that form a Christmas tree are so fun and easy to make! I baked the cupcakes with chocolate chips to use as the base of the tree and then topped them with green buttercream to make the tree. To decorate the tree you can use whatever you like, i used colored sugar balls. These trees were an absolute hit, especially to make with the kids if you wish. They look great and are very easy to make…. Perfect desserts to bake during the vacations.

Preheat oven to 350°F ( 180°C ) and line muffin pans with paper.
In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
Beat the eggs with the sugar, using an electric beater, beating until well whipped.
Add the oil in a drizzle, continuing to mix.
Combine the flour, baking powder and salt all sifted together.
Remember to scrape down the sides of the bowl when necessary.
Finally add the chocolate chips.
Spoon the batter into the muffin tray lined ramekins, filling each one up to three quarters of the way up the mold.

Bake for about 25 minutes or until cooked through.
Once baked, allow them to cool completely.
Buttercream
Beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar and green food coloring using an electric mixer fitted with a whisk for a few minutes.

To Assemble the cupcakes
Place the colored buttercream in a sac a poche fitted with an open star nozzle (I used Wilton 1M) and use it to decorate the cupcakes to form a Christmas tree.
Garnish with colored sprinkles and powdered sugar.
Create a forest of tiny Christmas trees that you can eat! They are colorful, cute, and a lot of fun to decorate!
