In the meantime that the pasta is cooking, we prepare the sauce with tuna, onion, capers, lemon zest. The final touch is the crumbled taralli, and a mouth-watering pasta dish is ready.
The end result will be a perfectly seasoned and slightly creamy pasta. The tuna will be soft and not at all dry, just follow a few small steps and the result will be perfect.

How to prepare pasta with tuna and crumbled taralli
First, slice the onion and stew it in a frying pan with oil and half a glass of water.
In the meantime put on the fire a pot with abundant salted water in which we will cook the pasta.
Place the taralli in a food bag and reduce them to crumbs with the help of a rolling pin.
When the water in the pan has completely dried, add the tuna drained and crumbled with a fork.
Add the capers and a ladleful of the pasta cooking water and cook over low heat.
Drain the pasta al dente directly into the pan with the tuna, using a perforated spoon.
Add half a ladleful of cooking water, the lemon zest, and a grind of pepper. Sauté the pasta, just enough to mix the ingredients and to allow the excess water to dry. But try not to let the sauce dry out too much.
Once this is done, turn off the heat, adjust the salt and pepper if necessary. Add the crumbled taralli, a sprinkling of chopped fresh parsley and serve at the table.
