Crumbled pie with apple and golden chocolate

Easy to make, crumbly and with a creamy fill: crumbled pie with apple and golden chocolate, a sweet with an unique taste, perfect to serve as a dessert at the end of the meal or such as birthday cake but also perfect to serve it at some buffet or, in this case, for the Christmas holidays. This is a recipe that everyone loves because it is so good that will be melt in your mouth. I preferred this golden caramel chocolate but if won’t find it, naturally, you can add to custard some extra dark or milk chips of chocolate.

Ingredients for the shortcrust pastry

5 cups flour (00)
2 yolks
1 egg (medium)
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter (fresh)
1 lemon (Grated lemon peel)
1/2 spoon baking powder for sweets

Ingredients for custard

2 cups whole milk
4 yolks
5 tablespoons cornstarch
1 lemon (Grated lemon peel)
5 ounces sugar

Candy apples ingredients

2 golden apples
1 spoon butter
1 spoon sugar
2 ounces chocolate drops (golden caramel chocolate chips. or, if you prefer, white chocolate))

Tools

1 Mold
1 Bowl
1 Pan

Steps

We continue with the making of our crumbled pie with apple, cream and chocolate. In a cup add the yolks and the sugar (1). Mix all (2) Add the corn starch (3) Mix everything (4)

Heat the milk (5) and then add it in the cup with the yolks and sugar and mix all (6).
Pour everything in a pot, light the fire and mix it until you have a creamy consistence (7) Pour everything, again, in the cup and let it cool in the fridge covered with a film (8)

Now let’s make the shortcrust pastry. In a planetary or, if you prefer, in a cup, pour all the ingredients, so you will add the flour, sugar, pieces of fresh butter, grated lemon peel and the eggs (9). When it will detach from the planetary networks pour it on plane work and compact it until you will have a dough ball. Cover with a film and let it cool in the fridge for 30 minutes (10)
In a pot heat one nut of butter (11) after you’ve cut in slices the apple pour it in the pot, add the sugar and leave it to cook for few minutes (12)
Let it cool (13)

At this point , cover the mold for the crumbled pie. If you want, even an hinged mold will be okay (14).Pour the cooked apple (15)-The custard (16).Crumble on it the dough that you didn’t put it before (17).And, in the end, add caramel chocolate chips.. But if you don’t have this kind of chocolate you can also use white chocolate or don’t put anything at all (18)

Cook in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45/50 minutes, it depends on the oven that you have. Now you can serve it your crumbled pie with apple, cream and chocolate.
