Slow Cooker RIBS
Everyone loves pork ribs in BBQ sauce.
The tender and juicy meat and the glaze are ecstatic.
To obtain perfect ribs, a few steps are essential: marinating, barbecue sauce and slow cooking.
Traditionally spare ribs are cooked on the barbecue but this recipe is perfect for the Slow Cooker.
This is the first recipe I tried to make when I bought the Crock Pot and the result surprised me: the meat is very soft, the flavor tasty without having lit the BBQ fire!
Preparing ribs with a slow cooker is really easy, you just need a little patience because it will take about 8 hours to get a perfect result.
But don’t worry, Slow Cooker does everything by itself, you can even leave the house!

Steps
step 1
Put spicy (or sweet) paprika and salt in a bowl.
Massage ribs with a mix of paprika and salt and make them adhere well.
Transfer the ribs to a food bag, pour the BBQ sauce inside, close the bag and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 3 hours. If leaving overnight is better.
step 2
Take ribs out of the fridge an hour before cooking them, they must return to room temperature.
Put ribs in Slow Cooker (try to form a single layer and not overlap) together with 2/3 of the marinade.
Close lid and set LOW mode for 8 hours.
step 3
At the end of the cooking time, remove the ribs from the Slow Cooker. Leave the cooking liquid in the pot.
Put the ribs in a baking tray covered with parchment paper, pour the remaining spare ribs over the BBQ sauce and cook the last 10 minutes in the oven at 428 F grill mode to obtain a glazed crust.

NOTE
To obtain excellent ribs, the following are essential:
– long marinating: at least 3 hours, preferably 12 hours
– meat temperature must be “room temperature”;
– low temperature cooking for 8 hours
– icing in the oven grill
STORAGE
Slow cooker ribs can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 3 days.
