Tools

Steps

Wash the fruit, then cut peaches and apple into small pieces and cut oranges and lemon into thin slices. If you use organic fruit you can leave the peel on, otherwise discard.

Combine sugar, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla pod, brandy and red wine. Leave the mixture to macerate in the refrigerator covered with cling film for at least 7/8 hours, even better if overnight.

After resting and just before serving, add soda and mix well. Serve with plenty of ice

NOTE

Resting the sangria is essential so that the wine can absorb all the aromas and flavors of the fruit and spices inside it.

STORAGE

You can store sangria in a closed or bottled jug for a maximum of 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

VARIANTS

1 To reduce the alcohol content of Sangria you can add about 1 glass of apple juice.

2 Fruit can also be replaced or added. For example, slices of orange or lemon can be replaced by slices of grapefruit. Or you can add pieces of watermelon which adds flavor and texture. Even the wine

3 You can replace the red wine with a younger, lighter wine. In fact, there is a version called White Sangria.
