Best Pan Prawns no fried

Pan Prawns no fried also known as Prawns “al Guazzetto” are a typical Italian recipe simple and quick to make.

The word “Guazzetto” indicates the stewed cooking method, in which tomato, fresh and aromatic herbs can never be missing.

But how do you cook Pan Prawns no fried or al Guazzetto? It’s very easy.

You have to sauté prawns, add brandy or white wine to flavor them, a few tomatoes and in just over 15 minutes a fantastic fish dish will be ready.

Without frying the prawns you will obtain a soft and juicy texture full of flavour, so as well as being a very good recipe it is also healthy and low in calories

You can use both fresh or frozen prawns, you just need to defrost them completely before cooking.

Furthermore, you could use leftover Pan Prawns no fried to season pasta and create a dish worthy of a restaurant.

FAQ

Do you peel prawns before frying?

Prawns can be cooked with or without their shell.

Is it best to cook prawns with shell on or off?

Cook in the shell whenever possible. Shells add a lot of flavor to the meat, and they protect it from quickly overcooking.

Do you have to defrost shrimp before frying them?

Contrary to popular belief, it’s best to defrost frozen prawns before cooking. If you don’t defrost prawns, you have to cook them for longer, as they risk becoming hard and not soft and juicy.
